INVENT solutions for

Drinking water

Drinking water reservoirs play a central role in implementing reliable access to drinking water in our cities and communities. Because treatment of drinking water can be costly and subject to highest quality standards, what is important is that no post-contamination, biological or chemical contamination occurs. This would involve a significant hazard to the consumer.

A major risk is the stratification of drinking water reservoirs. During the process, different water layers with different temperatures occur in the reservoirs. There is no fluid exchange between these layers. Algae formation, post-contamination or uncontrolled chemical concentration may occur during the extended dwell time of some of the water that occurs as a result. All this can easily be prevented with the use of the INVENT HYPERMIX®-Agitator, a mixing element developed especially for this kind of application. It provides an effective solution for layer formation and prevents it from re-forming.

INVENT offers you mixing technology as well as mixing and aeration systems optimized for the respective mixing task and the process. Contact us here.

HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixer

In addition to setting an optimal pH value, the selection of a suitable mixer is also essential for a successful precipitation reaction. For the destabilization of the colloidal state, a high energy input and a long contact time between the precipitant and the colloid are required for the formation of microflakes.

The CYBERPITCH®-Mixer combines these aspects with its flow-optimized mixer blade shape and its design for high speeds.

The INVENT GRF-Mixer combines these aspects with its proven mixer blade shape and application.

In the case of a low-gravity mixer design, the HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixer is suitable.

HYPERCLASSIC®-Flocculator

Crucial for the success of the development of Markoflocking is a flock-gentle mixing, with simultaneous complete circulation of the entire tank content and the flocculation aids within the dwell time.

The HYPERCLASSIC®-Floccutator has low shear forces due to its hyperboloidal mixer body shape and low speeds and at the same time ensures complete mixing of the container. This leads to frequent particle interactions, which enables maximum floc growth.

HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixer

HYPERMIX®-Agitator

In the case of drinking water reservoirs that are not continuously mixed, there is a risk of temperature stratification (thermal stratification) and thus post-contamination and algae formation. In addition, zones of increased concentration of chemicals (disinfectants) can occur, from which toxic substances that are hazardous to health can form.

The NSF-certified HYPERMIX®-Agitator was specially designed for this application, ensures complete, efficient circulation and prevents layer formation and is manufactured in its entirety according to hygienic design guidelines (according to DIN EN 1672-2:2009-07).

Depending on the application, the HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixer is also used.

iBC-MIX®-Tote Tank Mixing

For the coagulation and flocculation process steps, various chemicals, such as flocculants and flocculation aids, must be suspended or stored in advance.

The iBC-MIX®-Tote Tank Mixer with an included traverse is used for processing and storage in lattice tanks, which suspends the heterogeneous mixture of substances with little energy consumption.

CYBERPITCH®-Mixer

HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixer

When conditioning the water, chemicals are added, which should be distributed as quickly and homogeneously as possible in the tank.

If high energy inputs are required, the CYBERPITCH®-Mixer is suitable thanks to its high speeds and robust design made of high-quality stainless steel. The HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixer is used to adjust the pH value and water hardness when energy-efficient mixing of the tank contents is sufficient.

CYBERPITCH®-Mixer

HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixer

The use of powdered activated carbon (PAC) in wastewater treatment effectively removes a wide range of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and trace substances, significantly improving wastewater quality.

Rapid and efficient PAC dispersion requires a high energy input – this is where the CYBERPITCH®-Mixer proves ideal.

During the adsorption stage, the HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixer ensures thorough, low-shear mixing. Its slow rotational speed, large diameter, and bottom-near installation enable complete mixing with minimal turbulence.
