Hyperboloid agitators are used for precipitation and flocculation in drinking water treatment or perform their service in anaerobic and anoxic basins for complete nitrogen elimination in wastewater treatment plants.

After a rain event, the pool should be emptied with as little residue as possible in order to avoid cleaning costs and to ensure trouble-free operation over longer periods of time.

The shape of the agitator and the function of the INVENT HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixer are ideal for introducing a horizontal flow near the bottom, in order to prevent particles from settling even at low filling levels.

The INVENT HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixer was specially developed for this. It generates both a high pump volume flow and a strong, radially outward bottom flow. Activated sludge is transported upwards along the tank wall. At the water surface, the speed has reduced to such an extent that no oxygen can be introduced.

Swing zones enable a higher degree of flexibility for different load cases in biological purification. Depending on requirements, either denitrification is carried out without ventilation or nitrification is carried out by switching on ventilation.

The use of powdered activated carbon (PAH) for the treatment of the waste water eliminates a wide range of different organic carbons (DOC) and trace substances, thereby significantly improving the waste water quality.

A high local energy input is required for quickly stirring the PAH into the waste water flow – the INVENT CYBERPITCH®-Mixer is suitable for this.

The INVENT HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixer is used during the reaction time in the adsorption stage. The low speeds, large agitator diameters and installation of the agitator body close to the ground ensure complete, low-shear mixing.

An elementary component of tertiary wastewater treatment is additional filtration following the secondary clarifier.
