Specifically designed for the use of the HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixer in lagoon treatment plants, INVENT has developed a floating platform that allows the hyperboloid mixer to work in this unique environment.
The near-bottom rotation of the hyperboloid-shaped mixer-body generates high speed and turbulence at the basin floor, effectively preventing the settling of sludge particles. Eight transport ribs create a three-dimensional main flow with high circulation capacity, ensuring excellent and uniform mixing. Due to low rotation speeds, the energy input is gentle, resulting in minimal mechanical stress on sludge flocs. A low speed at the water’s surface reliably prevents aerosol formation and oxygen ingress. Furthermore, previous dead zones of the lagoon can be accessed and treated with the floating version of the HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixer.
Efficient design and the use of robust materials help minimize operating and maintenance costs. The platform’s slim design simplifies assembly near the pond, after which the entire system is lifted into the pond, pulled to its operating location, and connected.

Applications of the Floating INVENT HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixer
Denitrification
With denitrification, it is crucial that the entire tank content is homogenized and that oxygen entry on the surface is avoided. The HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixer is suitable for this, which generates a bottom flow directed radially outwards via transport ribs optimized in terms of flow mechanics. The particles are transported upwards along the pool wall. At the water surface, the speed has reduced to such an extent that no oxygen is introduced.
