Jackie Lauer INVENT Weftec

Behind the Scenes at WEFTEC

WEFTEC consistently presents an exciting challenge for INVENT, from the preparation stages to the event days themselves. The INVENT team is dedicated to delivering a unique experience for our visitors. In this interview series, INVENT employees share their personal experiences with WEFTEC. Today, it’s Jackie Lauer‘s (Sales) turn.

Could you tell us more about yourself and your role at INVENT?

My name is Jackie Lauer, and I am the regional manager for the mid-west over to the western coast of the US along with western Canada. I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Clemson University in Environmental Engineering and Science. I have been in the industry for over a decade and am passionate about educating people about water and wastewater. I currently live in Wyoming with my husband and two dogs and love to travel.

What was your funniest/most moving moment at WEFTEC?

My very first day at INVENT was at WEFTEC 2022. I flew in, and on that day I met all of my co-workers, my boss, and all of our reps! Good thing I wasn’t required to give any presentations, but by day 3 of training and shadowing, I had the basics down and was able to talk about most of the equipment on the showroom floor. Talk about sink or swim!

Why do you believe an exhibition is so important?

The exhibition is important because visuals and meeting people are important. Being able to see the life-size and modeled equipment gives engineers and customers the understanding and size of what INVENT manufactures. Also being able to use the equipment to explain how they work is vital for people who learn visually.

What should all visitors to the INVENT booth definitely see?

The true-to-size mixer hanging from the ceiling. It’s a show stopper, and you can see it from booths away. The mixer is my go-to presentation area when talking about INVENT, and often gains crowds to learn how it works. It’s definitely the star of the booth!
